Yup!

You read that right!

I FINALLY got a laptop!

*cough* from Wal-Mart *Cough* Yeah, there's a time that comes, when you realise that you just can't wait for your friends to help you buy a good laptop any longer. You need one, any one, NOW. A thousand screaming voices inside you are thrashing your insides, begging to be set free, and the only way to free them is to FINALLY get a LAPTOP.

I don't think I can accurately express the swirl of emotions I felt as I opened that box. It was like opening a portal to the future that you had been waiting for, but full of fear that once that portal was opened you still wouldn't walk through it.

Still.

I don't have internet on it yet, or much of anything really, but I do have MICROSOFT WORD. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning editing my fiction and watching Transformers Animated.

Now if I never get my fiction done I have only myself to blame.

Fermenting and Fumanting

I GOT ONE OF THE LEADS IN THE SCHOOL PLAY!!!!

*stares*

Sooooo that means that most of my stories/art are gonna take a little longer than they normally would. *sigh*

Not like the "story" was gonna come out any time soon, if at all... I'm in the phase of story writing that I commonly cause "fermenting" I've got lots of the "main plot" down, now I'm just toying around with the particualrs and amassing a HUGE amount of useless background knowledge. It seems I can't write a story, even a fanfiction, even a RETARDED WIEGOP FANFICTION, without getting it all tied up in SOMETHING that I have to study...

I watched the Matrix dream sequence/quint origin, from Five Faces of Darkness part 4 about a dozen times in slow motion last night... (and I'm becoming strangely attached to the U-haul Robot)because if I'm gonna write a fanfiction, by Primus it's gonna be the most outrageously CANONICAL fanfiction that I can muster. I've been pouring over scripts. Highlighting them and writing little notes in the margins. PLUS I've made an arbitrary decision to add some extra "depth" (read as work) to a smallerish facet of my story, which, believe it or not, has me reading the POPUL VUH!

And don't get me started on going to the library to read old Newsweeks from 1988....

*sigh* I know Hound thinks that this is all pretty ridiculous. And if I'm being honest with myself I'd have to admit that I can use the fermenting process as a means of stalling.

If you let wine ferment to long it turns into vinegar.

IN OTHER NEWS!!!
I've bought a SLAGHEAP of comic books recently. (I love having a job) Yup...TOTALLY addicted to comic books now. Predominantly Transformers, GI Joe, and Hellboy, but I bought my first DC universe comic the other day.

I hide all of them under my bed, honestly. In a briefcase. And if my parents do see them I claim I borrowed them from Hound.

Sigh...

1977

So I was looking at the number of hits I've gotten on this thing. And I realized I was getting closeish to my sacred number; 1977.

You know how sometimes there's a number, or a year, or a car model, or a song, that every time you see it a little light goes off in your head. You just notice it more. 1977 is that for me. It just follows me around. It probably all stems from the fact that it's the year Star Wars came out, but it was also....

~The year my mom graduated high school
~The year the bench in the commons of my high school was dedicated
~The year my favorite christmas special "Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey" came out.
~The year my house was built.
~The year of the class who dedicated the tree outside my high school
~The year on the commemorative plate that my teacher showed in class a week ago.
~The year Elvis died.
~The year PRIME!!!! was born!

and etc.

I also collect all coins that I find that have the date 1977, I keep them in a little box on my dresser.

SOOOOOOOOOO In honor of this.....
Whoever hits 1977 on my little hits thingy and takes a screenie gets a special prize! I know most of those hits are the same six people over and over...so...which of you gets the special PRIZE!!!!

Tagged! Again! Screw No Tag-Backs!

I got tagged by my wonderful CiD friend [link]

I know I've already done this once, but hey, there's always more crazy things you can learn about me!

1.)On the list of fictional men that I love there are more men who are horribly disfigured than there are men who are not....

2.)I have molested strangers' cars in public, on several occasions

3.) I have yet to complete a single fanfiction, dispite the fact I have habitually written them since before I knew what they were.

4.) I have been working on the same fanfiction, in different incarnations, for over eight years...
I've come to terms with the fact that it is suck, but I've also come to terms with the fact that I'm never going to let it go.

5.) The only chick flicks that I like are Sense and Sensibility and the A&E Pride and Prejudice.

6.) I collect every coin I find that was minted in 1977..I have an entire box of them at home.

7.) Every dream I have has at least one of the following: Zombies, college dorms, interstates, My dog, hidden rooms full of junk, and/or pregnancy.

8.) I have seen Dark Knight three times!

Hellboy 2! (Spoiler alert!)

I saw Hellboy 2 on Friday...and on Monday...and if I play my cards right this weekend I might be able to manage seeing it again by taking my little brothers. When they get annoying Mom will pay big bucks to get them out of her hair.

I LOVED Hellboy 2 the first time I saw it, and it was even better the second time. It was funny, it was sweet, it had crazy monsters and awesome action and Hellboy taking a shower (yum.) It had a scottish homeless person preparing to bite the head off a kitten. It had drunken Barry Manilow sing alongs.

But best of all....

IT WAS A WIEGOP!

Yup, the very fanfictions that I had been writing for the past four years were displayed before me on screen, like a precious gift. Mr. Del Toro and I are kindred spirits it seems. Hellboy as a dad is just soooo sooo so right on soooo many levels. The funniest thing was the way my friend, Hound, leaned forward to look at me when the WiEGoP was revealed.

I was bouncing up and down in my seat squealing with joy the entire time!
